About Me

My core psychotherapy training is in Adlerian psychology. I am passionate about this approach which lends itself to both concrete and profound insights on meaning and fulfilment. Adlerian therapy inspired key concepts in Cognitive Therapy and is considered one of the three main modalities of Depth Psychology.

I came to train in counselling and psychotherapy after working for over a decade as a music therapist with people with complex neuro-developmental issues, disabilities, mental health conditions and degenerative diseases in special education, psychiatric hospitals and in the community. I believe most of our communication rests on non-verbal interaction, and this experience over the years helped me develop care and attention to such nuances in conversation.

From a foundation in Attachment and Object Relations theories, over time I became drawn to Existential as well as Non-Dualistic approaches to therapy. I feel I could integrate elements of these perspectives into the Adlerian lens I trained in, whilst CBT provided a wide set of tools to work concretely and experientially with anxiety and low mood. In the past 5 years I have been working as a counsellor and CBT practitioner as part of a long-established not-for-profit organisation in Cambridge.

Whether you think you would like to address relational challenges, sense of identity, self-esteem, discouragement, isolation, loss, anxiety, anger or neurodivergence, I would be glad to speak to you about how I may be able to support you, in either counselling or CBT. I am fluent in both English and in Italian.

Nella scelta di un percorso di psicoterapia, è importante sentirci a proprio agio sia nell’espressione linguistica, che nella comunicazione di riferimenti culturali personali. Se preferisci parlare in italiano, non esitare a contattarmi.
